Tofu

Tofu

There’s really not a lot to say about tofu, really. It’s pretty basic stuff. Ages-old and chock full of protein. I wouldn’t call it a staple of our diet, but we have been eating a lot of miso soup for breakers. Tofu makes a cameo in each and every bowl.

  1. Love the ‘fu. I sometimes use firm tofu as the protein in my fried rice recipe (yup, it’s on the site).

  2. I love love love tofu! Was raised on the stuff :) My favorite way to make it is sear it in a pan with a little olive or canola oil. Then add some tamari, red chili flakes, maple syrup to the pan to deglaze. Then, serve over some brown rice with green peas. Yummy!

Thanks for the awesome blog Blake! Just added it to our blogroll @ http://WholesomeChow.wordpress.com. Let me know if you’d like to do a review of our awesome Decadent Vegan Cake Mixes!

    Much love,

  3. Hey, I haven’t read your blog in awhile… I changed to a vegetarian diet and found most of my reads a bit meat-centric.

Not anymore! I am glad that you are including a lot of vegetarian themes on your blog now :) I have bookmarked it again and plan to visit more frequently!
