Tofu

Tofu

There’s really not a lot to say about tofu, really. It’s pretty basic stuff. Ages-old and chock full of protein. I wouldn’t call it a staple of our diet, but we have been eating a lot of miso soup for breakers. Tofu makes a cameo in each and every bowl.

  1. This protein rich food is very good for our health. So do fish and also meat, if we take them in the right amount, thou. But you get to have fat and other vitamins and minerals also if you eat fresh meat and fish. That’s what I think.

  2. Love the ‘fu. I sometimes use firm tofu as the protein in my fried rice recipe (yup, it’s on the site).

  3. I love love love tofu! Was raised on the stuff :) My favorite way to make it is sear it in a pan with a little olive or canola oil. Then add some tamari, red chili flakes, maple syrup to the pan to deglaze. Then, serve over some brown rice with green peas. Yummy!

Thanks for the awesome blog Blake! Just added it to our blogroll @ http://WholesomeChow.wordpress.com. Let me know if you’d like to do a review of our awesome Decadent Vegan Cake Mixes!
