Food Purveyor (aka Super Sooper Heroes)

I’m looking for a few good foodies to help me find food to give away here on Blake Makes. I give free food to food bloggers who write about the food they get, and link back here. I’ve built a network of food bloggers who participate in these free food free-for-alls, and I call that network, SOOPZ. I call SOOPZ members, Sooper Heroes, and I currently have over 600 in the network. As you can see, I’ve got a lot of hungry mouths feed, so I need a lot of food to keep them fed. That’s where you come in.

Here’s How It Works:

  1. You discover an interesting food find. You can find food anywhere – online, in a magazine or in a grocery store.
  2. You contact the manufacturer and tell them you’re a purveyor for BlakeMakes.com. You can explain to them that every Wednesday, we give away free food to bloggers.
  3. You can share links to past giveaway posts, and to the Springwise article about SOOPZ.
  4. Tell them that before any food is given away, it has to past my taste test, so they’ll need to mail me a sample.
  5. You should also tell them we like to work with around 100 samples, but welcome more and can work with less.
  6. They will also handle all the shipping. I feature and review the product, manage the giveaway, select the winners and send them a list of addresses.
  7. Once food is approved, it’s added to giveaway schedule.

Here’s What You Get (Cha-ching!):

  • Link Love: If your food find makes it to a giveaway, I will post a link in that giveaway post and in the winners’ announcement post to your blog. For example, “This food was found by: Michael, ChickenFriedGourmet.com.”
  • $50 Gift Card: I will send you a $50 gift card to either Ben & Jerry’s, Starbucks, iTunes, Best Buy or Barnes & Noble.
