Giveaway News: Check Out These Trays

October 1, 2008  |  Giveaway  |

A few months ago, I connected with an insanely creative guy (via the Spoon Sisters) who created really fun letter and number trays. You can get a sneak peek at them below, but here’s how they describe themselves on their site:

It’s a mold that’s colorful, educational, flexible and non-stick. Make ice, sidewalk chalk, Jello-o, butter, soap, shortbread cookies, chocolate, muffins, candles… oven safe to 550F and freezer safe to -50F.

Don’t want to wait for the giveaway? Go buy them now from the Spoon Sisters!

I’m interested to see what you Blake Makers can do with these. This is NOT the giveaway post. That post comes on Friday. I’m sending out a not-so-sooper-secret e-mail tonight with the details. If you haven’t joined SOOPZ, get to it!

  1. oh yay!! i have been meaning to get ice cube trays!!! and these are so much cuter and more fun than the regular ones :) can’t wait for friday

  2. I LOVE IT! These are adorable. These will make GREAT Christmas cookie baking tools. Anyone for a monogrammed Christmas cookie? :)

  3. Those are so cool…..would be perfect for my 1 year old!!

  4. Ok, these are pretty cool. I work at an Elementary School – 800 kids and staff so just think of all fun I could have making treats for the students and staff.

  5. How neat!! I would love to freeze yogurt in them and teach my little one her letters!!

  6. LOL! Great video! Actually, it was pretty funny. I love how you have it set up in your new photo box. And, no audio… just a visual. My favorite part?… when you bunched it up in your fists! hahaha That was hilarious.

  7. Great video! I need to make myself one of those, even though I prefer natural light, this house we’re in now, has limited sunlight coming through. This would be great, all hrs!

    Adorable trays too!

  8. I do some gourmet and urban party catering and the uses for this product are almost endless! From coloured/flavoured icecubes in martinis, to cookies and brownies (of course!), to letters and numbers on birthday cakes, to shaped polenta topped with cheese and set out on an hors d’oeurve try that spells out something. Play dough! Moon sand! Jello shots of course, chocolate letters in white and dark layers, ice cream, neopolitans, toast points… okay now I am getting hungry.

And if I had these today, I could have made myself something for my birthday – the big 3-1!!

  9. These are so nifty! They’d be awesome to make foods and things for young children to try to learn their numbers and letters in a creative way!

  10. These would be a great way to make learning creative in the classroom!!!! and I just applied for my masters in education!

  11. I am going to become extremely smart when I receive these. Here’s my plan of action. On the first day, I am going to make frozen ice treats and cookies – happiness meter very high and smartness meter registering warm. Based on the first day’s experience, I will make more edible goodies in them. Happiness meter now has now exploded (there is only that much it can read) and is now in the ‘unimaginably happy’ mode and smartness meter now getting really really warm and inching upward! Each time I use it, the same thing will happen – till I will become ‘Unimaginably Happy and Smart’! There you go!
Oh, how is that you ask? Well, I’m just gonna gobble the entire set of alphabet and integer goodies each time! Happy power and Brain power! :)

  12. Great giveaway…as always! These are so fun! Would be really cool for a ‘themed’ party, or a good teaching tool for my little girl!

  13. How neat!! I would love to freeze yogurt in them and teach my little one her letters!!

  14. Oh these would be great! My drunken friends could use them to spell things when their speech gets a little too slurred.

  15. I would love, love, love these. We are planning on starting a family soon so these would be our first baby present! You rock Blake!

  16. ABC, 123, I would love these for me!! These are too cute. We need some new ice cube trays!

  17. These are sooooo cute! and i love the colors!

  18. oh, and blake i think you might have spelled ‘vegetarian’ on the ling to the right wrong….hahaha sorry to point it out!
