Epcot Food & Wine: India’s Treat

October 26, 2007  |  Food, Travel  |

I’m going to have to look up the name of this amazing treat from India (for some reason, my picture of the menu board is missing). This was one of my favorite things at the festival. It was a flaky pastry filled with lentils and carrots. They served it with a sort of BBQ sauce that was excellent. I could have eaten a dozen more.

  1. hey blake – could be wrong but looks like a samosa to me! sounds delicious!

  2. that sounds really good!

  3. Definitely looks like a samosa… and it looks delicious! And the BBQ sauce was probably something with tamarind in it… very sweet and similar, and served often with Indian food. So jealous!

  4. Oh I’ve had these before, love them! They are very flavorful.
My dad used to invite his graduate students over for dinner and they would make us their India cuisine. This is one of many entrees we tried. Brings back memories.:):)

  5. Glad I could bring back a few memories for you. Food does that to me a lot. It’s a very emotional pursuit. bk
