Another Step For Soopz (Updated 2/10)
February 9th
2008
Update 2/10/2008: MAKE SURE TO READ THE COMMENT ON THIS POST WHERE I EXPLAIN A LITTLE MORE ABOUT SOOPZ, BLAKEVILLE AND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO.
I’ll keep this short and sweet (because I’m working on this at 8pm on a Saturday night). We’re taking steps to make Soopz more official, and to organize the community (family) that’s forming around the brand.
If you’re interested in becoming a Sooper Hero, please click here.
Even if you’ve already sent me your information, please go ahead and fill out the form so that I can keep you all together.
Thanks! bk

Done!

Posted by Us vs. Food on February 10th, 2008 at 11:08 amI’m glad you asked that question, “What is Soopz?” I’ll add an explanation to the Soopz page, but I’ll give you the elevator speech here.
Soopz is a network of of bloggers, food bloggers right now, that receive free food products and blog about them. Right now, the only free food I have to send out is my own (aka Peanut Butter Dulce de Leche), but we’re already working with food companies to distribute their products to the network.
Soopz is different from Blakeville (which I will work to clarify in the coming weeks) in that Blakeville is the retail side where anybody can buy the products being distributed freely to the Soopz network.
For instance, the next round of PBDDL will be the last free mail out I send out. In fact, I think I’m only going to send out a certain amount 100%. I’m going to ask for shipping for another set of the same group, and will have the remainder available in Blakeville.
I’m trying to keep up with it all. Thanks for your interest. I hope these explanations help. I’m going to be doing a lot more. Stay tuned! bk
Posted by Blake on February 10th, 2008 at 11:51 amThis is exciting stuff! It’s like the X-Men of cooking!, or the Super Friends in the kitchen at The Hall of Justice!
I’m dying to make a cooking video with that stuff!
Posted by missbhavens on February 10th, 2008 at 4:10 pmHello, Missy! I will get some of the good stuff to you as soon as I can so that you can make a video! Should be this week. bk
Posted by Blake on February 10th, 2008 at 6:02 pmMissy, it IS exciting!
I like the idea of having X-Men baking powers! Is that what the PBDDL will provide? ha!
Blake - Today is my blog’s 1-year birthday! I used your “Stay tuned” tag line at the end of my post and gave you a little shout-out.
Posted by Nikki on February 10th, 2008 at 8:53 pmPBDDL will make you fly, move things across the room with your mind and walk through walls. It also has the power to make your family smile all at the same time.
I commented on your blog, Nikki, but I’ll say it again. Happy Blog Birthday! I bet the coming year is going to be even better. Share a few of your powers with Ben and send him my best as he defends his dissertation later this week.
I’m so happy to know you! bk
