Ok, Sooper Heroes. Here’s your post. If you’d like a chance to win three (3) bars of amazing Amano Artisan Chocolate, comment on this post. We’ll announce the 50 lucky winners tomorrow. You’ve got all day, so GO!

Qualifications:
- Must be a registered Sooper Hero
- Must like (love) dark chocolate
- Must have a (food) blog
- Must be interested in blogging about it and linking to Amano (and us)
Read our Amano review for more information.
Comment and tell us how much you love dark chocolate. You can write a haiku, compose a song or just say, “hey.” We don’t require anything specific, but we do value enthusiasm and creativity (so keep that in mind… wink, wink).
Good luck!

In the beginning, the Lord created chocolate, and he saw that it was good. Then he separated the light from the dark, and it was better.
I love dark chocolate. I eat it daily (at least once…sometimes twice)!! I once heard a very funny (but oh so true) joke that has stuck with me….
A man found a bottle on the ocean, and he opened it and out popped a genie, and he gave him three wishes. The guy wished for a million dollars, and poof! there was a million dollars. Then he wished for a convertible, and poof! there was a convertible. And then, he wished he could be irresistible to all women… poof! he turned into a dark chocolate bar.
Isn’t it the truth! SEND ME SOME CHOCOLATE PRETTY PLEASE!!!!
P.S. To all my friends reading Blakemakes….If you have not checked out Amano Artisan Chocolate website already you should! They have some great articles and FAQ reads regarding this amazing thing called CHOCOLATE.
Posted by Ashleigh on April 24th, 2008 at 12:02 amHi Blake and Bridget! I’m not at all creative so I just want to say that I love dark chocolate and the good stuff is hard to find in my little Alabama city. I’d love to give Amano a try. I’m sure it would blow my mind after eating Hershey’s all these years.

They (experts) say that dark chocolate is healthy for you - with that in mind, I’m on a quest to make dark chocolate the fifth food group. By picking me as one of the winners, you’ll be doing your part to keep me healthy
Seriously, though - I really really really love the stuff, and when I hear the words “artisan” and “dark chocolate” in the same sentence, start to salivate and swoon. Don’t leave a girl hanging…
Posted by Columbus Foodie on April 24th, 2008 at 12:10 amDark chocolate is my fuel. I love it. And I crave it. Sometimes I crave it so bad I make a mad late night dash for Whole Foods in the hopes of getting there before it closes. Occasionally I don’t make it. That usually results in some hair tearing, angst ridden phone calls, and a trip to a 24 hour supermarket in the hope that they carry a decent brand. I love dark chocolate. It hits a spot that neither milk nor white chocolate can ever even hope to hit. And I’d love some for free:)
Posted by Lara on April 24th, 2008 at 12:17 amThree reasons I think you should pick me:
1. I’m a baby “sooper hero” (this is my FIRST post on BlakeMakes.com- yay!)
2. I have a brand new, totally cute blog.
3. I eat, sleep and breathe chocolate…the darker the better.
Thanks for doing this, btw - this is “sooper” fun! (Do I get bonus points for cheesy use of the word “sooper”? *crossing fingers, toes, and eyes*)
Posted by Amy on April 24th, 2008 at 12:17 amI live in the country of chocolate, however I still have not found my dark chocolate love. Would you give me a chance to melt with you?

while my scale never shows a gain.
Dark chocolate is the bees knees,

Hello, another newbie sooper hero here!
What a great giveaway! I’ve been dying to try out a recipe for chocolate mint cookie sandwiches, and Amano sounds like it’d be heavenly for the dark ganache filling…though the chocoholic in me may be tempted to eat it all up like Bridget did =)
My food blog also has a green focus, particularly on organizations that promote or provide artisan products and sustainable food practices. It would be fantastic to get the chance to showcase Amano!
Posted by Karen on April 24th, 2008 at 12:56 amchocolate and foie were meant to go together. Perhaps this is an addiction, but Ill give you a delicious combo of the two, in photo form, when I get this deliciousness…. I mean, hell, chocolate is sex. Cmon, SEX. There, the first to compare the two. Sex sells.
Posted by Patrick on April 24th, 2008 at 12:59 amI like chocolate… but, I love dark chocolate. I’m sure if you cut me open, I’d bleed the dark stuff. Being one of the few people I know that loves dark chocolate like I do, you can imagine that I’m not lucky enough to eat it very often. And that makes me sad… doesn’t it you?
Won’t you make this Texan happy by giving her the chance to taste this most amazing dark chocolate?? Pretty please?? Think about it… and get back to me.
I’ll be waiting!!
Posted by Jessica on April 24th, 2008 at 1:06 amDark chocolate for the next generation!!!
I have 2 children (2 years old, 3 months old) who need to experience exquisite dark chocolate. Can you ever be too young to develop good taste?
Posted by Sherri on April 24th, 2008 at 1:40 amOk, so I’m pretty sure that I would be primarily enjoying the chocolate, but my 2 year old would thank you as well. She has very refined taste for a 2 year old! When I open the pantry, she often exclaims, “cous cous!”. She already has a taste for bleu cheese, salmon and a good curry.
My mouth waters just thinking of the delights I could make with some of that gorgeous dark chocolate! AND- I’m a twofer! I have 2 blogs that I would be spreading the love on!

Because I wrote this when I woke up at 5:30 this morning…yay!
Posted by Amy on April 24th, 2008 at 5:32 amI have been thinking about what I would do if I won these dark chocolate bars. I think first I would dim the lights and then light some candles. I would put in my Miles Davis CD and then hope that the chocolate liked the mood I set for it. I would probably be really nervous waiting for the chocolate to arrive…I mean, I want to make a good impression. Then the time would be upon me…the three dark chocolate bars would be at my front door. I would let them in and tell them how nice they look. They would look sheepishly at me and I would lead them into the house. We would then sit around, listening to jazz, talking about all of the different ways they could become part of my life. They would tell me they are okay just becoming a cookie. I would tell them they are too good for that and they should shoot for something bigger. At the end of the night, I would thank them for coming, and then let them see their new temporary home…my pantry.
Thus ends my one night love affair with dark chocolate.

Posted by Mark Boxshus on April 24th, 2008 at 6:04 amI used to love milk chocolate. Then I went on a crazy, obsessive diet and cut all chocolate out of my life for a period of years. When I finally decided to return to the realm of the healthy and the sane, the typical Hershey’s bars (even the Special Dark which contains more milk and sugar than any good dark chocolate bar should) left me with a nasty, saccharine taste in my mouth.
One day I was wandering through the “health food” section of my grocery store–although really, how much healthier is “organic” macaroni and cheese compared to a blue box of Kraft Dinner?–and I passed a rack of chocolates I had never seen before. They all had weird numbers on them and they told me where they were from. What the what? I picked up a 55% dark chocolate Chocolove bar. It was exquisite. Instead of an overload of sugar or almost-artificial creaminess, there was depth to this candy. This candy had secrets.
I couldn’t get enough. As I continued on my journey, the percentages kept getting higher and higher. 70%. 80%. My life changed the moment I put a chunk of Endangered Species 88% dark chocolate in my gob.
But there was a problem.
The numbers stopped going up. My grocery store didn’t carry any chocolate darker than that 88% bar. I wanted more! More complexity! Would I live my life forever chasing the dragon, trying to relive my first 88% cacao experience?
Not if the baking aisle had anything to say about it. I marched right up to the unsweetened baking chocolate rack–which, in hindsight, probably looked pretty silly–and I grabbed a bar of Hershey’s finest 100% chocolate. It had to be good, right? I mean, my experience has done nothing to discourage the belief that higher cacao percentage equals higher deliciousness percentage.
Mistake.
I guess this post is meant to say that I love dark chocolate. I love dark chocolate ever so much. In fact, I may be the only living proof of going retarded over chocolate that you’ll ever actually see.

Posted by Michelle on April 24th, 2008 at 6:22 am‘kay you wanna know why dark chocolate is so important to me? Why I need it just as much as the oxygen I breathe and the water I drink? I’ll tell you why.
Because dark chocolate is the food of the Gods (not sure which ones, but Gods nonetheless!) and if the Gods love it, then you know it has to be good. Why.. it’s a known scientific fact that there are boatloads of GOODFORYOU antioxidants in Chocolate - especially the dark variety. I NEED antioxidants. My body CRAVES antioxidants. The Gods whisper in my ear that the only Godly way to get my antioxidants is from the food of the Gods.. also known as - Dark Chocolate.
Not to mention, there’s this lil flourless chocolate cake number that I’ve had my eye on and I couldn’t possibly bake this cake without the delicious artisan dark chocolate that Amano creates.

Posted by Lisa on April 24th, 2008 at 6:23 amI absolutey LOVE dark chocolate. My husband doesnt care for it, so I never get it! What a treat it would be to have some!!! I have been experimenting with my baking and what a great addition Amano dark shocolate would be! Please pick me. I just started blogging this month and I am jumping head first into the world of food reviews and recipes. I am constantly looking for fodder for my posts and this would be an excellent review. I can’t stop thinking about all of the pairings I could make with this chocolate. Fingers crossed! The Gabby Gourmand!
Posted by Gabby on April 24th, 2008 at 6:53 amIt’s lame and a little simple, but in my new ice cream adventure, I think that I’m going to do a great vanilla ice cream with a swirl of PBDDL and the tiniest of flecks of dark chocolate. It’ll be great with a tuile cookie.

I am not nearly as creative as the above posts, so I will just say….please pick me!! I LOVE dark chocolate!!
Posted by April on April 24th, 2008 at 7:10 amWell all I got to say is that I personify Dark Chocolate. I mean one just has to look at me to see that. :-)And the Mr. Loves it too( me and the chocolate bar).
Posted by courtney on April 24th, 2008 at 7:15 amWhy do I do deserve it? Because I am majorly PMSing, my toddler is teething, and I’m out of wine. And because you look very nice today.
Posted by Lauren on April 24th, 2008 at 7:17 amCan you please tell me, is Amano Chocolate Fair Trade?
I don’t even eat milk chocolate. Why bother? Yuck!
Posted by Carrie on April 24th, 2008 at 7:25 amI went to their website to check but their answer was a little unclear.
If so, then I’m in and here’s why:
I love dark chocolate because it’s good for you, not only is it an instant mood-lifter, it offers healthy antioxidants that are oh so good for your heart!
I also love dark chocolate because it is so versatile. It can be eaten straight up, made into a lovely hot beverage on a cold night, chopped up and added to a sweet treat (as I’m going to do today), or even added to a savory dish as in a mole sauce…
… but that’s only a few of the reasons why I love dark chocolate (and eat it everyday)…
With the first bar, I would melt it over hot but not scalding water. Then I would take a paintbrush, the finest bristles I can find, and paint words of love in 5 languages across my lovers eyelids, face, neck, chest….I promise the chocolate would not go to waste.
With the second bar, I would melt this one too and place it inside a decorators bag and squeeze out words like “exceptional”, “extraordinary”, “magnificent”, “outstanding” on cellophane, cool and dry them, wrap them carefully, slip them into envelopes and leave them in my friends mailboxes anonymously.
The third bar I would break into pieces and plant in my garden to grow my own chocolate tree.
Posted by Ellie on April 24th, 2008 at 7:33 amI had this cute poem planned out about my love of dark chocolate but then I came and read everyone’s hilarious posts! Now my sides hurt from giggling! You all rock! Hehe. Oi, maybe I need some dark chocolate to cure me?
Posted by heather on April 24th, 2008 at 7:34 amChocolate, oh chocolate, how I love thee. With chocolate, there are endless opportunities. With this incredible chocolate I envision a creamy fondue. I would dip strawberries and chunks of poundcake in it. Aaahhh…creamy, fudgy, chocolate fondue. What is better in life??

Posted by Carrie Crocker on April 24th, 2008 at 7:41 amI usted to be one of those girls that would only stick to milk or white chocolate, then I decided to start experimenting and discovered the glorious world of dark. The Dark Side of chocolate is just so enticing, it’s becoming impossible to resist the pull.
Please help me explore this rich and very often wicked new world with your glorious free chocolate!
Posted by Laurie on April 24th, 2008 at 7:58 amMy very first Blake Makes giveaway, and it’s dark chocolate!!!! One of my all-time favorite, desert-island foods. I eat some every day (no joke.)
Here’s a little ode to dark chocolate:
Oh dark chocolate, how do I love thee?
Let me count the ways.
…oozing out of a molten chocolate babycake,
…melted into a smooth ganache,
…folded into an decadent chocolate mousse,
…frozen into creamy, luscious ice cream,
…standing in the spotlight in a dark chocolate truffle,
…shaved on top of…well, anything,
…or just eaten straight up, in your pure, dark, complex glory.
Crossing my fingers!
Posted by Amy on April 24th, 2008 at 8:01 amWow! I’m not sure I can compete with all these fantastic responses already out there… I hope my sooper-enthusiastic early response on the intial post gives me some bonus points!
I LIVE for chocolate, and dark chocolate is the ultimate treat. It brings calm to a stressful day, happiness on a sad day, and just pure and utter bliss with each incredible bite. It must be savored, so that each pure, dark chocolate bite is fully enjoyed. There’s no rushing through a piece of dark chocolate, and if you do then you are not a true chocolate lover! And, shame on you!
Ok… here’s my last ditch effort… PLEASE PICK ME! PLEASE PICK ME! OH, PLEASE PICK ME!
Posted by patsyk on April 24th, 2008 at 8:04 amI’m new to the whole food blog thing, but your site was one of the ones that inspired me to start my own blog. So thanks! I’m having a lot of fun. And I love chocolate…the darker the better…so I’m really excited about the chance to try the Amano. Here is a poem I wrote:
Chocolate is my psychiatrist
I crave to be a patient
Grant me a confectionary consultation
Share some heavenly hope
Prescribe a mouth-watering medication
Oh bittersweet solace

My Dearest Dark Chocolate,
I am writing to you on this day to expound my love for your deep, dark, mysterious ways. Every time I think of you my heart pounds. Just the very thought of your sweet smokey, silky taste makes my knees weak and my skin tingle. When I have had a long hard day with my children and my husband is driving me nuts, you are there to comfort me and invade my spirit. In all of my celebrations, you add true happiness. You strengthen my heart and my soul. You encourage my children to do better in school, cheer me up when I am down. Oh, my dark, lovely chocolate..even when there is just a taste of bitterness, it is sweet and breathtaking. I do love you dark chocolate on a firm, fundamental level that no other love can cross. Come to me my bittersweet dark chocolate so that we may be one..(I might share you with the family…but I doubt it
P.S. Please don’t deny a true love Blake and Bridget. It would just be wrong
Thanks for the chance.

Silky, smooth, sweet.
Haunting with your darkness.
Melting slowly
Filling my mouth bliss
(you can applaud anytime now >.>)
I love dark chocolate. It is, by far, the best chocolate there is. And the darker the better. Also, dark chocolate should not be chewed, it should be savored. Placed in the mouth and allowed to melt slowly with your body heat filling every corner with the mix of sweet and bitter until all that is left is the memory.
Posted by Katie on April 24th, 2008 at 8:29 amYou have both heard this before: Dark chocolate, the richer in cocoa the better, is not only a to-die-for treat, it’s actually good for you.
A woman in her mid-fifties, ouch that hurt, needs as many to-die-for-treats as I can possibly include in my life. I also need a very special chocolate because it has twice the healthy antioxidants that can be found in a glass of red wine, which I don’t drink or in an inferior brand of dark chocolate which I don’t eat.
Antioxidants are good for the aging and I am trying to slow down the aging as much as possible. One square of a truly divine dark chocolate makes hot-flash hell a good day after-all.
What woman wouldn’t want a good-day after-all with a to-die-for-treat in her cupboard? With three bars of Amano Artisan Chocolate; this woman could have a good-month.

I would save one square for myself, of course, to slowly enjoy and savor!

Posted by Rachel on April 24th, 2008 at 9:18 amStanding in the store, with her head hung low
Couldnt find that bar, it was a sold out brand
Heard the roar of a clerk, she could hear him yell
Put her ear to the wall, then like a distant dream
She heard one box boy, yell her brand
She saw nibs in his eyes, and the very next day
Bought a case of chocolate bars
Didnt know what to make, but she knew for sure
That one chocolate bar, felt good in her hands
Didnt take long, to understand
Just one chocolate bar, was all it would take
Was a one way ticket, to cupcake land
So she started baking
Aint never gonna stop
Gotta keep on baking
Someday shes gonna make it to the top
And be a chocolate bar hero, got nibs in her eyes
Shes a chocolate bar hero
She took one bar , chocolate bar hero, nibs in her eyes
Chocolate bar hero, cupcakes tonight
In a kitchen without a name, with flour all around
Thought she ran outta butter, but had 1 stick left
Like a trip through the past, to that day in the store
And that one chocolate bar made her whole life change
Now she needs to keep baking
She just cant stop
Gotta keep on baking
That girl has got to stay on top
And be a chocolate bar hero, got nibs in her eyes
Shes a chocolate bar hero, got nibs in her eyes
Yeah, chocolate bar hero, got nibs in her eyes
With that one bar, cupcakes tonight
Yes, cupcakes tonight
Yeah, shes gotta keep baking
She just cant stop
Gotta keep on baking
That girl has got to stay on top
And be a chocolate bar hero, got nibs in her eyes

-streak naked through a crowded mall (jail food frightens me)
-eat cow brains (hey–bse is serious!)
list complete. as you can tell, i’m crazy about dark chocolate.
Posted by a. grace on April 24th, 2008 at 9:36 amWow! Everyone else is so creative. Now I feel like a total loser. I guess I’ll just try anyway and hope for the best. Growing up, til I was 10 years old, I wasn’t allowed to eat any dairy or anything that had dairy in it. I was completely deprived (no joke). I still remember sneaking tiny pieces of chocolate or a teaspoon (literally) of ice cream. When my allergy seemed to finally fade and get under control, I still wasn’t satisfied with Hershey bars that my small town had available. I finally got to try some Dark Chocolate Reisens, and oh, a whole new world was opened up. I used to buy them every week and they were a special treat. My friends and I would get together and before you could eat each one you had to give a “reason / reisen” for living. For instance, I would hold that little piece of dark chocolate caramel and say - “I’m glad that it didn’t snow today.” Really, though, every piece for me was about the chocolate and just letting it slowly melt in my mouth.
Had there been dark chocolate available when I was little, I wouldn’t have had to have been so deprived. I find now that I am even more grateful (yes, grateful) for the fact that it is available to me. My son is allergic to dairy, and this often means that he has to go without. Not with dark chocolate though. For chocolate in his Easter basket this year he got a 70% cocoa bar of Lindt chocolate. He nibbles at the pieces of chocolate and savors each little bite. He is only 5 years old, but it is the sweetest thing to see a future chocolate lover learning how to appreciate good chocolate.
The Amano company is located here in Utah, about 50 miles south of us. I haven’t really been out of the house this winter at all so I’ve been somewhat out of touch, but I am definately planning on visiting their shop as soon as the doctor’s clear us to get out of the house (preemie baby born last October = 7 months of confinement at home away from all germs - seriously).
So, while I can’t be creative about it, all I can tell you is that dark chocolate is extremely important to me and my family. I am passionate about it and end up sneaking it into most everything I make (as proven by the extreme number of chocolate treats on my blog). I would love the opportunity to review this local product and hope that I get the chance.
Thanks for what you do.

Considering how beloved chocolate is by, you know, pretty much everyone, one wouldn’t think it would be so hard to find serious, good quality artisan dark chocolate in a city as big as Boston. I mean, cosmopolitan city and all that, right? Alas, since I moved here from the land of chocolate and all things gourmet, San Francisco, I have been lacking chocolate that my picky self considers good enough to cook with, and hence, the chocolate desserts are also poorly lacking from my kitchen. Just the thought of having some excellent chocolate in my kitchen again has me dreaming of zabaglione, chocolate creme brulee, mayan chocolate brownies (all time favorite), pots de creme, chocolate banana cream pie, chocolate caramel ice cream…I could go on. And my bloggity blog would benefit as much as my stomach from some of that delicious chocolate dessert recipe action.
Posted by laura k on April 24th, 2008 at 9:58 amDark chocolate is something that your palate grows into loving, but once you hit that point, there’s no going back. When I was a kid, I was all about the milk, but these days, the darker, richer and deeper the chocolate, the better.
Talking about not being able to go back, exploring up-scale and artisanal chocolate makers and chocolatiers has forever ruined me when it comes to corner store chocolate, no matter how big the DARK on the packaging is. Amano is one of the brands that I’ve been meaning to try - I’d love to give their offerings a whirl and tell the world about it!
Posted by Melissa on April 24th, 2008 at 10:25 amI’m not an expert of dark chocolate,
Posted by Cindy on April 24th, 2008 at 10:29 amBut I can surely appreciate its delicate taste,
The aroma, the flavor,
And my passion to dark chocolate is nothing less than a true chocolate expert!
According to Italian researchers, women who eat chocolate regularly have a better sex life than those who deny themselves the treat. Those consuming the sugary snack had the highest levels of desire, arousal, and satisfaction from sex.
Please send me the chocolate. My sex life depends on it. *wink, wink*

the darker, the better. A day is complete with a little bit of fabulous chocolate. What I love about fabulous top notch dark chocolate: a tiny little bit is oh so satisfying, the lovely deep bitter but sweet flavor that stays with you even after the bite is finished, the smell of the chocolate - deep and fragrant and warm, the comfort a taste brings when you are stressed or have had a tough day.

Posted by Patrick on April 24th, 2008 at 11:28 amI love to pair dark chocolate with wine so I would love to have a wine and chocolate tasting party. Party for 2, maybe 4. Then I would love to do a little decadent baking with the rest. If there is any left. I love dark chocolate and wine. It’s my vice!!!
Posted by megan on April 24th, 2008 at 11:34 amWhoever said being bitter is a bad thing was wrong. They had no idea what they were talking about because they have never had dark chocolate. Whoever said getting bitter with age is a bad thing is also wrong. Again, they say this because they have never had dark chocolate. Now you may be reading this and thinking “What the heck is this girl talking about? Dark chocolate is not bitter, it’s full in flavor.” But to me it’s bitter and I am more than fine with that. When I was younger I didn’t like dark chocolate because it was too bitter but as I have aged I have grown to appreciate dark chocolate and all the complexities that lie in its flavor.
Bitter is a good thing….a really good thing. You add chocolate to the mix and you are just about as close as you will ever get to having a salacious experience with food. Just thinking about dark chocolate makes my mouth water as I envision putting a piece of deliciousness on my tongue and having my taste buds go on an expedition exploring all the flavors contained in the dark chocolate.
Posted by Stephanie on April 24th, 2008 at 11:36 amIt’s no secret that I love dark chocolate. Actually in your TCHO giveaway I declared it my first love(shh…don’t tell hubby). Ok I know I wrote this silly cheer:
I like dark chocolate, yes I do.
I like dark chocolate, & Blake Makes too!
And then I wrote something about dark chocolate & how it’s delicious & I love baking with it.
Then I said it’s going to be hard to pick a winner because everyone is hilarious.
Except I swear I wrote much more eloquently last time.
Good luck all!

Posted by Azrael on April 24th, 2008 at 1:04 pmI’m more apt to blow $7 on an exquisite 70% bar infused with cinnamon and ancho chiles than on lunch itself. Usually this isn’t a problem, as I have learned to keep a bar in my purse. Chocoholism is a terrible, terrible disease. Thanks for enabling me to continue on this way!

Posted by Jennifer on April 24th, 2008 at 2:01 pmI’m not all that creative with making up a song or dance or anything, but boy can I get creative when it comes to chocolate. Especially dark chocolate. That is my all time fave. I have learned in the past few months that it is my doggies fave too, so up high it goes because it is bad for the doggie. If I win this it will not have time to go up high, it will be used immediately. I have several ideas in mind. So pick me please!!!

you lay there,
broken in two
your essence bitten and consumed
lingering on my lips,
outstretched to reach you
pounce, attack,
to finish you off
every last morsel
melting so bitter sweetly
i yearn for more
if chosen i will write a poem in dedication to each of the flavors and the feeling/tastes they leave me with

Posted by steph on April 24th, 2008 at 2:35 pmHi Blake and Bridget!
I am requesting to receive the dark chocolate not really for me, but for my mom! There is nothing my mom loves more in this world - other than me, of course
- than dark chocoalte, and I am quite sure she has never had any as good as what you are offering! Being that Mother’s Day is coming up, I would love to be able to share some of this delicious chocolate with her and bake her some sort of treat featuring the chocolate. A typical mother, my mom rarely does anything for herself so I thought I would attempt to score her a special treat…as long as she shares with me!

I would love some chocolate. I’ve been inspired by a great tv show here in the UK called Willies Wonky Chocolate Factory to try chocolate in sweet AND savoury dishes so it would be great to have some top quality chocolate to do that.
Also its my birthday on Tuesday and I’m working all day of it! Please take away my birthday blues with some chocolate!

In truth, I love how dark chocolate is smooth, nutty and and has an oh so slight bitterness. I have been thinking about chocolate truffles all day. Free chocolate would be a good opportunity to try my hand a making truffles. I have never made them before but have always wanted too!! Dark Chocolate, Pumpkin truffles!! Yum!

Posted by laura on April 24th, 2008 at 9:21 pmDark Chocolate – the new wonder drug
I have used dark chocolate as a medicinal substance for a number of years now. Although I am here to tell you that using dark chocolate as a curative substance has changed my family’s life, please don’t think I’m some kind of homeopathic nut job that has gone off the deep end – I am a completely sane and logical person – follow along with my thought process if you will. As I sat in my kitchen in 1999 enjoying the almost orgasmic sensation of dark chocolate melting in my mouth, I became somewhat light headed from the rush of blood to various parts of my body. As my head began to spin, and my body convulsed onto the floor, I knew everything would be ok – I had the sweet aftertaste of dark chocolate on my lips – even mixed with the taste of blood dripping from one of many head wounds, I knew I had found the nectar of the Gods. Sitting on my kitchen floor, I realized that although dark chocolate was very likely a miracle cure for any wound or ailment, I also understood that mixing this wonderful substance with existing medicines was the key for true healing. The years since have been a whirlwind of exciting discoveries as I’ve tested my hypotheses on myself and my family. A sample of my medicinal concoctions (I’ll use DC as an abbreviation to save space here):
1. Crushed Tylenol mixed with melted DC (multiple benefits)
a. Headaches
b. Body aches
c. Fever
d. Erectile Dysfunction
2. Melted DC mixed with cayenne pepper and wasabi – cooled slightly and applied to special areas works as the fabled “female Viagra”
3. Crushed DC and orange zest in sprite – quick sinus relief
4. Small pieces of DC stuffed deep in ear canals to relieve earaches (this is still under investigation as my husband believes that the success of this cure was due more to the ants carrying out earwax accidentally with the DC)
5. DC melted, mixed with codeine, then formed into children’s “bedtime pops”
6. 1:10 ratio of DC, lavender oil, and rose petals as an FDS substitute
I could go on, but I’m sure you get the point. My success here has drastically reduced our monthly prescription spend, and improved our overall health. So you see, this isn’t a quest for mere pleasure, but for health and safety of myself and my family.

This is the jingle I created for Amano Artisan Chocolate . Sammy Davis Jr, Marilyn Monroe and several other artists have sang this song, I just adapted it for chocolate that is the best aphrodisiac with its “happy” endorphins.
That old dark magic has me in its spell
That old dark magic that you make so well
That same old chill that makes me want to win
That same old Blake that sets my head to spin.
The same old tingle that I feel inside
When that Amano Chocolate starts its ride
Down and down it goes, round and round I go
Like a leaf that’s caught in the tide
I should stay away but what can I do
I hear Amano’s name, and I’m aflame
Aflame with such a burning desire
That only your taste can put out the fire
You are the lover that I’ve waited for
The mate that fate had me created for
And every time your lips meet mine
Baby down and down you go, all around I go
In a spin, loving the spin that I’m in
Under that old dark magic called Anamo!!!
