40 Boxes Shipping Today! (Updated)
February 20th
2008
UPDATE: It’s official! They’re in the mail. Everyone in the U.S. should get them in 3-5 days; 2 are going to Canada and should take 5-7 days; 1 is going to Australia and should take 7-10 days. Thanks to everyone that’s donated! It really helps! If you’d like to help, use the blue “PBDDL Support” widget to the right. Thanks!
Hello Blake Makers and Sooper Heroes. Ugh…my back and neck are a little achy. For the past 3 hours, I’ve been hunched over mini little jars of peanut butter dulce de leche affixing labels, packing them into their little boxes and addressing them. It took some time, but they’re done!

I’m dreading this shipping bill tomorrow. I know each of these little boxes is going to cost me over $3.
All I have to say is thanks to everyone who’s supporting the dulce project. If you’d like to support us (sponsor a jar of dulce), just click on the little PBDDL Support widget to the right.
Donations are by no means required, but completely appreciated!
(Yawn) Sleepy…must go to bed. Blake Makes has been completely over stimulating me the last couple of days.
I do it for you! It’s all for you!
Nighty night. bk

I’m also seeing there is another “Nikki” on board. HEY there!!
Posted by Nikki on February 21st, 2008 at 4:38 pmI’m not getting any dulce this time, but I just wanted to stop by and say what a freakin saint you are for doing all this! Seriously… a saint. You’re doing good work. Good Good Good work.
Posted by Joy the Baker on February 21st, 2008 at 5:12 pmMmmmmmmmmm I cant wait to make something special with this.
Posted by Erica on February 21st, 2008 at 6:34 pmOh yes. It’s a tale of 2 Nikki’s on Blake Makes. Nikki 1 meet Nikki 2. Nikki 1 enjoys long rides in the country, horses and trip to the farmer’s market. Nikki 2 is a dog person, who like Russian fiction and says rainy days and Mondays always get her down.
hahahahhaha!
The fa-fa-fa-faux hawk is coming back. My hair’s just getting a little long and won’t spike as well.
Hello Joy…it’s a joy to meet you. Thank you for your kind words. I AM a saint, but my dulces are sinfully delicious.
Erica, I can’t wait to see what you make. BTW, there are 2 Erica’s, too. uh oh! holla!
Posted by Blake on February 21st, 2008 at 6:49 pmI’m trying to figure out what “Nikki” I am based on your description..
I’m adding the G to my name. Easier to distinguish…plus, it’s just more gangsta.
Posted by NikkiG on February 21st, 2008 at 7:01 pmI knew it 40 jars and I was 42…aahhh…maybe next time..but congrats to all the positive response your getting so far.
Posted by Jennifer in Austin on February 21st, 2008 at 7:07 pmWhat up G? again, holla! That’s how you roll, and I dig that.
Yea, Nikki 1 sounds like a Charlotte from Sex and the City now that I think of it. Nikki 2 is a Miranda.
Wow, that’s gay. Bridget, I love you! hahahah
ahahah
ahhah

Posted by Blake on February 21st, 2008 at 7:07 pmHey Jennifer! I have a few mottos.
1. If it were easy, everyone would do it.
2. (for you) Always under-promise, and over deliver.
Never underestimate the power of a surprise….

Posted by Shannon on February 22nd, 2008 at 5:18 amJennifer…my pleasure!
Kimmers! I love Aussies! Have I told you that I traveled with about 20 Aussies for a month after I graduated from college? We spent 30 days in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. That is still some of the best times I’ve ever had in my life. I still talk to those guys. We are going to have one hell of a reunion one day when we get down to Oz….Cold Chisle and all. I really miss people calling me ‘legend’ and hearing people say, “It’s gonna end in tears.” Oh, I miss my mates!
Hi Shannon. Thanks for your kind words…(and for donating)! bk
Posted by Blake on February 22nd, 2008 at 8:19 amOh, your poor back! You need some sort of little-jar-labeling stand. Like a drafting table, but for jars!
They’re SO cute!
Posted by missbhavens on February 22nd, 2008 at 3:48 pmps: the chip in widget is giving me grief! I click, I copy I paste, I get nuttin’. Sometimes the chip in widget doesn’t even load!
I want to chip in!
Maybe it’s just overloaded by people chipping in to help you out? That would be tres cool.
Posted by missbhavens on February 22nd, 2008 at 3:58 pmMan, I’m gonna have to send that ChipIn widget to the wood chipper. Thank you for wanting to ChipIn! I added a link to the post above this one. Let me know if it works for you. If not, I’ll think of something else. bk
Posted by Blake on February 22nd, 2008 at 5:00 pmGotta love a man who loves the Aussies. BUT. The kiwis are way more fun….
Cheers for the little jars, Blake…. loving it.
